Jambo 2010
By MrBroekhuis | March 10, 2010
Jambo is held once every two years, at Kutztown University. It is an event in which boyscouts and cubscouts from the area come together for camping, activities, and fun. This year’s event will take place from Friday afternoon, May 14th, through Sunday morning, May 16th. We’ll be camping as a pack; you can also come just for the day on Saturday, when most of the activities take place. Much more information about camping and activities will be sent around in the two months between now and then, but we have an opportunity for discounted early registration right now. If you know that you will be attending, now is the time to sign up and save. No money is due now, but if you want in on the discount, you do have to commit by this weekend.
So check your family calendars, and send me an email by Sunday afternoon, with the following information:
- number of adults camping ($10)
- number of children camping ($25)
- number of adults for Saturday only ($10)
- number of children for Saturday only ($20)
There will be a small additional fee for those camping, to cover the cost of food shared among our pack - more about that later.
You can read much more about the event at the Jambo 100 website. For easy reference, here is a copy of the Jambo 100 Event Poster. I hope many of you can join in the fun!
