Fogelsville Cub Scout Pack 72

Arrow of Light Ceremony

EVENT SCHEDULE: March Pack Meeting, usually last Tuesday in March or sometimes moved to following Friday night.
EVENT DESCRIPTION: The Arrow of Light Ceremony signifies the crossing over of a cub scout into the Boy Scout program.
The Second Year Webelos, their leaders, and their parents would like to cordially invite you to celebrate their achieving the highest award in cub scouting, the Arrow of Light.  Immediately following the 6:30 pm Pack meeting at Camp Spirit, the braves of Troop 72 will escort you and your parents on a dark and silent trek through the woods of Camp Spirit.  The candlelit Laws of Scouting will light your path.  At the Council fire Chief Akela will recount the story of Scouting.  The Chiefs of the Four Winds will share their knowledge and the torches of the Seven Virtues will be lit.  As the boys  cross over and are welcomed into Troop 72, the true meaning of the Arrow of Light will illuminate their way.
Following the ceremony we will return to Hassen Creek Lodge for refreshments to celebrate their achievements.  Please dress warmly (in layers) and wear shoes appropriate to walking down to the field.  You will be asked to remain silent from the time we leave till the time we return to the packhouse. In case of rain, your Den Leaders will be notified and the event will be re-scheduled.

Please see the Pack Calendar for the details of this year’s event.
